The circle Ⓐ actually means “Anarchy is Order”.
Anarchists oppose hierarchy and authority and believe that self-governance and free associations creates the most beneficial social structure. We believe hierarchy creates an unequal society where those with power oppress the people below them and the authority serves to protect that power structure.
A good example would be the boss/worker relationship. We see it as unfavorable because in most jobs the worker’s labor directly produces the profit, but the boss, who does a lot less work than the employee, reaps a majority of the benefits.
Anarcho-syndicalists (a popular branch in anarchism), believe that workers can liberate themselves by overthrowing the boss and making workplaces self-manageable (managed by workers).
There are many branches of anarchism but the general philosophy is that people should be self-governed and free from hierarchical/oppressive systems such as the state.
The reason people in power, including the media, purports us as chaotic and violent is because they’re afraid of the the ideology. It truly liberates the working class, makes sense and threatens all political controls across the world.
